Who can volunteer?
Volunteers must be age 14 and older, however, we are not able to accept court mandated individuals.

Can groups volunteer?
Yes, groups may volunteer. Please contact us to schedule a Saturday.

How does the Soup Kitchen obtain food and personel for Saturday meals and service?
The Soup Kitchen relies solely on donations and volunteers.

Does the Soup Kitchen accept monetary donations?
Yes, please send checks to the address below. A letter of acknowledgement and receipt will be sent in return.

Yes, the Soup Kitchen is a tax-deductible 501(C)(3) non-profit organzation.

Who do you serve?
The Soup Kitchen serves any person regardless of race, color, creed or disability and all are welcome.

How many meals do you serve each week?
On average we serve 700 meals each Saturday.

When do you serve clothing and meals?
Every Saturday at 7:00 am a small breakfast is served to dozens of people, many of whom wait in line overnight for a clothes closet ticket. From 8:00 am to 9:45 am guests with a closes closet ticket are given miscellaneous items and a change of clothing for the week. From 10:00 am to 1:00 pm guests are invited into our dining room for lunch. Volunteers seat and serve our guests.

What food do you serve?
On the first and third Saturdays of the month we typically serve spaghetti and meat sauce, salad, green beans, dessert and coffee or hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, salad, vegetables, dessert and coffee. On the second, fourth and fifth Saturdays, we provide a homemade beef or chicken stew, two sandwiches, salad, dessert and coffee.
